Sponsored Walk information

A big thank you for all that took part in the sponsored walk and barbecue in December 07. We have raised over £400 which will go towards goals for the Senior Section to replace the metal ones.

You will pleased to know that we didn't lose any kids despite over coming such terryfing ordeals such as sheep, horses, cow pats, the raging river Frome, the bogs of the river meadows, the wild bull of Cattistock road but worst of all - The Chairman's cooking !!
It was great to see so many parents take part and support the club . The walk was a great success, enjoyed by all and may well be something the club will do again in the future. Special thanks goto Mike and Amanda for sorting out the challenging route...

Stop Press - Coaches pass FA Coaching Certificate

12 willing volunteers have been working hard through January at the Youth Centre with FA tutors and have now passed the Level 1 Certificate in Coaching Football. The coaches were made up up members from the Maiden Newton and Cattistock mens team and from the Maiden Newton Junior Football Club. The course covered everything from Football Club Administration to Internally/ Externally assessed coaching sessions.

Congratulations to all those that took part and no doubt everyone will benefit from the new coaching skills learnt. A special thank you to all the children today who came up and were willing to be coached whilst the coaches were being assessed.
