Bere Regis tournament

Don't forget the Bere Regis six a side tournament on the 5th/6th June. Maiden Newton & Cattistock Reserves are entered on Sat 5th and the U8s/ U10s will be playing on Sunday 6th. It should be a great weekend of football.

Rene's Cafe - Maiden Newton @ War weekend

Volunteers wanted for Rene's cafe for the Maiden Newton @ War Weekend. Must be able to dress up as characters from the old BBC sit com Allo Allo. Cafe will be open from 10.00 till 16.30 on the weekend of the 19th and 20th June. If you ever fancied being one of the waitresses, an airman, or dressing up as one of the resistance now is your chance. Any proceeds will be distributed between MN Youth FC and the Reserves. Please let me know if you can help, even a couple of hours over the busy lunchtime period would be great. Email me: hbcr@btinternet.com or m: 07796 547878. It should be good fun and a great fund raiser. Thanks Colin

Youth Football Club AGM and Fun Day Sat 15th

The 15th May will be our AGM & presentation event. We have brought the start time forward to 10.00am to ensure that our event finishes before the FA Cup starts. Please see the running order below to show you what's happening when:

10.00am - Club AGM
10.30am - Presentation of Awards
11.15am - "Team Theme" - fun football activities for everybody
11.45am - BBQ and refreshments available
1.30pm - MN & Cattistock new reserves team (mostly made up from our old senior
section of the club) take on the MNYFC All Stars !!
2.30pm - Finish - Off to the pub to watch the footie !!!
Rough timings as I'm sure they will stray on the day.
We are trying to recruit more new players into the club for next season to ensure we have enough to keep this Years Under 8's team in the league and for us to add to this by having a new team entered by Paul - Under 10's. So feel free to invite anybody along who might be interested.
Dad's - we need you to join in the fun game against the reserves team - we need to show those spotty 16 year olds how to play - so please please bring your boots and pads along so you can play. They are still looking for new players for the coming season if you fancy playing in a league... Training is on a Thursday evening from 7.30 on the field.
Hope to see you next Saturday - it's gonna be great!

Stalbridge Tournament April 24th

Stalbridge Tournament April 24th

The Maiden Newton Youth Football Club entered teams for the U-8 and U-10 competition. It was a beauiful sunny day and we were all impressed by pitches, they were in excellent condition.

The U-8s played four games, 5 a side and 5 minutes each way. They did not win any of the games, however, they played very well, losing three of their games by one goal and were unlucky not to win two of the games. At the end of the non competitive U-8 games every participating team received a medal.

The U-10s also had an excellent tournament and reached the final in their age group. Well done!
